LOCATION: 99 Sutton St, Redcliffe Qld 4020
PROJECT COST: $2,100,000
PROJECT DURATION: 18 Months
CU2 Electrical was engaged by BHCL to deliver a full design-and-construct electrical solution for a multi-storey apartment development at 99 Sutton Street, Redcliffe. The project was delivered for a community housing provider and designed to support residents on low incomes, including elderly residents and those seeking stable, long-term accommodation.
Given the nature of the development, reliability, safety and long-term performance were critical. The project required careful planning, coordination across multiple trades and the ability to maintain site operations while delivering high-quality outcomes across all residential and shared spaces.
Generator-free construction power
CU2 implemented a battery load centre to supply temporary power for the site, including crane and hoist operations. This removed the need for diesel generators, resulting in a quieter, safer site with reduced environmental impact and lower strain on the electricity grid.
Zero-error switchboard changeover
Through detailed planning, staged approvals and extensive pre-testing, the team completed the full shutdown, rewiring and metering installation in one day without a single fault across all 82 units.
Architectural lighting coordination
CU2 worked closely with the builder, sheeters and architects to ensure feature lighting complemented the architectural soffits and community spaces, delivering a clean finish with strong visual impact.
This Redcliffe apartment development demonstrates CU2 Electricals’ capability to deliver complex, large-scale residential projects with precision. The project reflects careful planning, technical expertise and a practical approach to sustainability—delivered without shortcuts and with consistent results.
